NC & NO Notations are reversed
The switch resistance was higher than I thought it should be. I opened one. It is the smallest SPDT reed switch I have ever seen - about 2.4 mm in Dia. Mystery solved. The work well just don't over load them because of their size.

NO/NC not standard | ||
Posts on switch are COM, NO, NC. Resistance measurement from COM to NO without magnet present is short. From COM to NC without magnet present is open. I believe the NO/NC markings are not standard usage. The switch works well. Its just confusing.
