The MAX7219 can drive 7 seg displays (one chip drives up to 8 digits) Checked the price on Digikey and saw the price for the chip is > $10 so this is a good deal. I followed this instructable. https://www.instructables.com/Multiple-LED-Matrixes-with-Arduino/ I bought 5 and I've set up two so far, with a classic Arduino R3. I plan on using 4 in a matrix and will pull one chip to build a numeric display. | ||
