Hot & Cold Sides | ||
The labeled side is usually the cold side. I always test with a good 1.5V battery connected for about 10 seconds just to be sure. This module works great. | ||

Hot side is the side that the leads are attached. This allows for some heat removal by the leads. Another point to remember is to ALWAYS run with a hot side heatsink | ||

Good Replacement | ||
Installed in an Igloo refrigerator unit, performs better than the original if you increase the PS capacity. The 110v PS was bad on the unit I repaired too, so I beefed up the PS to 8.5A. | ||
