acceptable but not good
Acceptable: Because it is a throw-a-way meter. Not Good: Because: 1 - It is not fused on amperage. 2 - Battery replacement is not an easy field item. 3 - The ranges of operation and the digital readout are not compatible. Not enough digits showing. 4 - The scale ranges are strange to work with. Increments of 10 would be better. BUT! The price makes this an acceptable entry meter.

Installing the battery
Manuals instructions for changing the battery are sparse. Remove the rubber boot. Remove the two screws. Pull the case apart. Install the 9 volt battery in the all plastic back, not in the front section where the contacts are. Reassemble.

My favorite now. | ||
I have a collection of DMs and now this is the one I carry when I am away from the bench. I like that it is simple, not autoranging and even tests batteries. No problems putting in the battery, just have to read the instructions.

OK multi meter | ||
I actually use my multi meter mainly for continuity testing. I like to have a good audible tone the meter does not have any audible tone. Otherwise it seems to work as ecpected.

Cannot even get to the battery holder
How does one open the case?? I removed the screws but no way to open the case. What a waste! It gets worse!! Figured out there is a boot around the meter that has to be removed before being able to open case. OK done that!! Now there is no battery holder!! Only contacts on one end no way to install batteries this is unbelievable. If I have to pay shipping for return ...
